(9/23/04) Race Organizers have joined forces with LYNX to provide a shuttle system for athletes and spectators. The buses will run back and forth between the start/transition area at Lake Underhill Park and the finish area at Wall Street Plaza/Heritage Square. The buses will begin running at 8:30 AM with the last bus leaving from the finish area going to the start/transition at 2:30 PM.

(9/23/04) Two Central Florida Sports Commission staff members visited Lake Underhill Park today to do a final check on safety. In addition to the great water quality already confirmed, both staff members waded into the entrance and exit areas for the swim...the entrance is a concrete boat ramp with a small drop off at about waist high and the exit area is nice and sandy with a little grass as you get about waist to chest high. In addition, the Sports Commission has confirmed 4 motorboats and 4 kayaks with lifeguards to form a floating barricade around swimmers on the swim course. One of the motorboats will be from the Orlando Fire Department and each boat will have a lifeguard or EMT aboard.
